Planning a wedding on the beach? Wondering what shoes to wear for your beach wedding ceremony? We received this new question from bride-to-be, Sherry, who wrote us via our Ask Emmaline form. Since we knew it was a question other brides probably wondered, we are sharing the answer with you today. She asks…
“I’m planning a beach wedding and finally found my dress. Now I have no idea what kind of shoes to wear. What do you recommend on the sand?”
Great question! Since heels are nearly impossible on sand, we say skip the heels and save them for the dance floor. Instead, try on a pair of barefoot sandals, one of our favorite beach wedding footwear options! Of course, custom flip flops are awesome… and flats work, too… but barefoot sandals are a fun trend worth a try! They’ll also look great on your honeymoon while sipping on drinks poolside. Read on to see why we love this unique option and see some pretty finds from Bare Sandals. Enjoy!

WHAT SHOES TO WEAR FOR BEACH WEDDING
Barefoot sandals are one of our favorite types of beach wedding shoes. There’s no actual sole on these — just pretty jewelry gracing the tops of your feet. It looks like you’re wearing flip flops, but your feet are free to feel the sand. We spotted these barefoot sandals from Bare Sandals.
We love ’em because they’re handcrafted right here in the USA. Plus, they’re durable enough to go swimming… just in case you want to toss them in your honeymoon bag, too!
LOVE THESE BAREFOOT SANDALS?
Go get a pair from Bare Sandals. You can find out more in their shop, where you’ll also find some gorgeous boho-inspired jewelry. It’s worth the visit — promise!
P.S. We recommend wearing a pair of actual shoes for your reception, especially if it’s indoors. Bare feet + indoor venues + broken glass = :(

A few months ago I blogged about a stunning Colorado elopement session with Keara and Aaron. Their gorgeous day was photographed by Amy from Amy Bluestar Photography, and the photos turned out to be absolutely breathtaking.
Amy also photographed Karmen and Tyson's engagement shoot, which took place in Canyonlands National Park, Utah. Their engagement photos had it all: the stunning backdrop of the mountains, absolutely beautiful couple, bohemian vibes and even their pet snake.
