Your Best Bridal Survival Kit ... And What's Inside

Your Best Bridal Survival Kit ... And What's Inside

December 15, 2015

No matter how much one prepares and plans for the day of their wedding, there might be a few snags that happen the day of. In the spirit of “hope for the best, but plan for the worst”, I have compiled a list of supplies (and what to use them for in a pinch) everyone should have on hand just in case something happens.

Clear nail polish – not only for fixing a top coat, but also to stop snags in stockings or pantyhose.
A tube of the lipstick/gloss you will be wearing - perfect for touch ups and smudges.
White chalk – to temporarily cover minor stains on the wedding dress.
Blotting papers – to soak up any excess oil on skin without ruing makeup
Extra backings for earrings - one may get caught on your dress, or simply unsnap during dancing.
Small sewing kit** - Have it on site of the wedding.
Toothbrush, toothpaste, toothpicks, and floss ( or at least some mints )... for obvious reasons :)
Tiny scissors - for tags: never pull a tag off a garment or shoes!
Tweezers - for splinters or a brow hair that was missed.
Q-tips, Makeup remover, Nail polish remover
Tissues.
Tampons, pads, and panty liners.
Small first aid ... you never know
Deodorant - make sure it is the clear kind.
Straws – sip through these so as not to ruin lipstick/foundation around the mouth.
Lint roller.
Eye drops.
Allergy medication.
Any medications that are normally prescribed to you (place in a travel pill box).
Tylenol/Advil.
Pen and paper (for last minute notes, thank you cards, signing of checks, etc.).
Superglue.
Nail file and clippers.

This may seem like a lengthy list, but it’s better to be overly prepared than running to the front desk or a pharmacy if something is needed. They are all items that can be used beyond the day of the wedding, and if you make several small ones (omitting the medicine) in a cute case and with maybe a few personal touches, they will make great little surprise for members of your bridal party.

Last words of wisdom: You can distribute this list among your bridal party by purchasing cute,  engraved storage case. You can have all of the items that you need AND get your girls something super cute!
Until next time, Anna :)

She gave the sandals to her bestie on her special day and captured some amazing photos while she was at it. Sarah tagged us in some of the photos on Instagram, and we instantly fell in love with the images.

As a result, we decided to select Sarah's images as the winning photos AND issue her a full refund of her order. Check out the stunning pictures below and comment to let us know which one is your absolute favorite.

Karmen and Tyson's Engagement Photo Session in Canyonland, Utah

March 30, 2018

A few months ago I blogged about a stunning Colorado elopement session with Keara and Aaron. Their gorgeous day was photographed by Amy from Amy Bluestar Photography, and the photos turned out to be absolutely breathtaking.

Amy also photographed Karmen and Tyson's engagement shoot, which took place in Canyonlands National Park, Utah. Their engagement photos had it all: the stunning backdrop of the mountains, absolutely beautiful couple, bohemian vibes and even their pet snake.
